How to Avoid Common Scams in Blox Fruits

Blox Fruits Scam Guide

1. “Gifting” & Robux on Another Account

One of the most common scams in Blox Fruits involves scammers claiming they cannot store permanent fruits or gamepasses due to a so-called “glitch,” or that their Robux is stuck on another account. The scammer will try to convince you that they need you to give your item first and promise to “gift” you the permanent fruit or item afterward. This tactic is designed to trick you into trading without any real guarantee that you will get the promised item in return.

Scammers rely on trust and urgency. They may try to pressure you, saying things like “Hurry, I only have a few minutes to trade” or “I really need this item first.” The goal is to make you act quickly without thinking critically about the risk. Always remember that if someone is asking you to trade first under unusual circumstances, it is a red flag.

Example: A scammer might say: “Give me 1 Dragon first, I’ll give you Perm Kitsune after. I can’t store it because of a glitch.” At first, it might seem plausible, but this is almost always a trick.

Important: There is no glitch that prevents storing permanent fruits or gamepasses. Never trade first — if you do, you are almost certainly going to get scammed.

2. Middleman Scams

Another common scam involves a fake “middleman.” Scammers may suggest using a third-party person to hold items during the trade to make it seem safer. In reality, the middleman is usually the scammer’s friend, an alt account, or sometimes even the scammer pretending to be trustworthy. Once you trade your item to the middleman, the scammer disappears and your item is gone.

Middleman scams are particularly dangerous because they appear legitimate. They often use convincing messages and fake profiles to gain your trust. Even players with high experience sometimes fall for these scams because the middleman seems “official” or “verified.” Always treat any middleman offer with extreme caution.

Important: Never trust third-party people to hold your items. Using a middleman almost always results in losing your items permanently.

3. Cross-Trading Scams

Cross-trading scams involve exchanging in-game Blox Fruits items for things outside the game, such as real money, other Roblox items, or UGC (user-generated content) items. Scammers will ask you to trade first or again suggest using a fake middleman to hold your items. This is extremely risky because there is no official system outside Roblox to protect your trade.

Cross-trading is not only unsafe, it also violates Roblox’s Terms of Service. If your account gets compromised during a cross-trade, you could risk losing both your items and your account. Even if the deal seems attractive, it’s not worth the risk. Stick to the official in-game trading system to keep your items safe.

Important: Never trade anything outside the official in-game system. Cross-trading is unsafe and can lead to permanent losses.

4. Double-Trade Scams

Double-trade scams are another method used by scammers. They often offer a large trade split into two or more parts. The scammer will ask you to give a portion of your items first, promising to give the remaining items afterward. Once you trade the first portion, the scammer disappears without completing the rest of the trade.

These scams can seem harmless at first, especially if the initial trade appears fair. Scammers rely on your trust and assumption that the second part of the trade will happen. This is why you should always complete the full trade in one single window — never split trades into multiple parts unless you absolutely trust the other player.

Example: A scammer offers 1 Dragon for 5 Kitsunes but asks you to give 1 Kitsune first, then promises to trade the remaining 4 later. After you give the first Kitsune, the scammer disappears, taking your item.

Important: Always complete the full trade in a single trade window. Multi-step trades are risky and often used by scammers.

5. Scam Links & Account Phishing

Scammers may also use fake links to steal your Roblox login information. They often offer what seems like a great trade and then send a link that looks legitimate, but is actually a phishing site. Clicking these links can compromise your account and allow scammers to steal your items or Robux.

Many phishing links are disguised to look like real Roblox URLs. Scammers can hide these links behind text on Discord or other platforms, making them hard to identify at first glance. Always be extremely cautious with links, even if they come from someone claiming to be trustworthy.

Important: Always verify links before clicking. Ask for a Roblox username instead of following links. Never enter your account information on unknown sites.

How to Trade Safely

  • Never click on any suspicious links.
  • Avoid double trades and cross-trading completely.
  • Never use middlemen — even ones that seem “trusted.”
  • Trade only within the official Blox Fruits trading system.
  • Always confirm the items and trade window before completing the trade.
  • Take your time to evaluate trades — don’t rush under pressure.
  • Be cautious with new players or accounts with little trading history.
